History and Overview

The firm of Scanlon & Associates, CPA's, was originally organized as Thomas J. Scanlon, CPA in 1979. Our headquarters are located in South Deerfield, Massachusetts. We offer a full range of accounting and auditing services, including municipal and non-profit auditing, and tax planning and preparation. We believe our relatively small size allows us to provide timely services in an informative and personal setting.

The firm presently has ten professional staff members. All members of the firm have performed audits of municipalities and school districts. The firm has a diverse clientele consisting of various governmental units, commercial corporations, philanthropic and social organizations and other institutions.

Three members of the firm, Thomas J. Scanlon, Jr., Jeffrey Gendron, and Kyle Mitchell are Certified Public Accountants. Three other members of the firm are senior auditors with more than 20 years of experience. The junior auditors have at least three years of experience and two office employees are ready to assist our diverse clientele.

One of the partners has worked as a town accountant for three communities and has a good understanding of problems facing towns and can relate to the difficulties sometimes involved in working for town government.
